The proxy war is an armed conflict between two states or non-state actors which act on the instigation or on behalf of other parties that are not directly involved in the hostilities.Multiple proxy wars stood in for actual conflicts between the united states and soviet union. The soviet union invaded Afganistan in 1979, fighting to install a communist government. The united states provided support to insurgent groups, known as the mujahideen. The USSR fought the costly war for nearly 10 years before withdrawing in 1989 as the cold war coming to an end. Later in 1980, the soviet union invades Afghanistan with thousands of troops to support the government in its struggle.These in vasion brought tensions amongts member nation.The united nation and other international communities condemn the Taliban regime because of its violation of humans rights particularly restrictions of women from outside work and freedom.However, according to Bin Laden, he was concerned with the American foreing policy towards, and America actions in the muslim world.He was also concerned about united states support for Israel in its ongoing theft of Arab land. With the above situation, it can be said that it layouts the issue of the proxy Afghanistan war and how the united nation and the soviet union play an important role in the war.
