The Fiji National University (“FNU”) has notified TSLB of the following commencement dates for Lectures for Semester 2 and Quarter 3 of 2020:
- College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences (CMNHS) Semester 2 on 6 July 2020.
- All other Colleges (CAFF, CBHTS, CEST and CHE) Semester 2 on 13 July 2020.
- Quarter 3 on 13 July 2020.
Based on the above commencement dates submitted by FNU, all TSLB sponsored students are to take note of the following important TSLB dues dates for the applications for Semester 2 and Quarter 3 of 2020 as stated in the table below:
In addition to the advice to TSLB on the commencement dates for Semester 2 and Quarter 3 of 2020, FNU has now also advised TSLB on the mode of teaching and learning for these academic terms. It is important for the TSLB sponsored students under TELS to note that based on the advice received from FNU on this matter, TSLB will assess the allowance eligibility for these terms. Based on the advice from FNU to TSLB on the mode of teaching and the fact that we are now operating under the New Normal due to COVID-19, allowances to all TSLB sponsored students from Semester 2 and Quarter 3 of 2020 would now be paid on a monthly basis.
The schedule of allowance payment dates for Semester 2 and Quarter 3 of 2020 on a monthly basis is also contained in the Table attachment above along with other important matters relevant to all TSLB funded students to take note of.
