A collaboration between the Office of the Registrar through the Department of Student Support Services and Drug Free World Fiji.

Binge drinking, smoking and recreational drug use are common problems among adolescents and university students globally. Academic pressures, peer pressure, independence, increasing freedoms and increased opportunities to experiment with alcohol and drugs can push many adolescents to drug use. Join us this week on our Drug Awareness Virtual Session brought to you by Drug Free World- Fiji, a non-profit public benefit corporation that empowers local youths and communities and hear of factual and first-hand information about drugs, the impacts of drug use and the local drug culture within our communities

Presenters:

  • Kalesi Volatabu, Founder of Drug Free World Fiji with her vibrant team of young volunteers.
  • Jioji Washington, Chairperson of the National Drug Task Force, Ministry of Defence and National Security.
  • Tevita Tupou, Independent Security and Trade Consultant who has done consultation work on Drugs in Fiji and in the Pacific Region.
