Dear all,

Following the statement from the Permanent Secretary for Health and Medical Services, Dr. James Fong, on 21 April 2021, the University is immediately taking the following actions:

  • All staff to work from home from the next 14 days (22 April 2021 to 5 May 2021). Only essential staff will be allowed on Campus, and attendance will be at the discretion of the Division Heads or College Deans. This decision may be reviewed in light of changing circumstances. Please contact your supervisor if you are not equipped to work from home.
  • Anyone leaving their home must wear a face-covering and have the CareFIJI app turned on. There will also be mandatory temperature checks at all campus entrances, and strict physical distancing and hand-hygiene measures will be in force.

  • All face-to-face teaching and instruction are suspended until 5 May 2021 at the earliest, in line with FHEC direction. Colleges will contact students about online provision; kindly check your students email for any communications from the Colleges.

You are kindly requested to adhere to government guidelines and restrict movements to only essential travel.

All students and staff are advised to follow the FNU website, official FNU social media pages and check their emails for ongoing advisories regarding University operations. Refer to the links below:
