DME446 Pre Sea Knowledge Maritime Law covers the basic knowledge as an introduction to the Laws that govern the Maritime Industry. Students are introduced to Maritime Law . The content includes details of several conventions by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) to ensure safety of a ship and also the measures to prevent pollution of the ocean and the environment. The United Nations (UN) Law of the sea is part of the study is discussed and as guidelines for sea boundaries and limits to jurisdictions.
