Enrolment options

In this unit the student will first learn about site evaluation, followed by system components and configuration. Later the student is introduced to stream hydrograph analysis, map reading, basic system design layout, pre-feasibility and full-feasibility studies, resource monitoring, testing and maintenance, system costing and available software’s for micro-hydro resource assessment. Effects of hydrology and environmental impact will conclude the unit.
The course covers the laboratory component of the course Hydro-Electric Power System. Laboratories are an important part of the course. This course will enhance the theoretical knowledge gain by you in course Hydro-Electric Power System through series of practicals. The experiment covers concepts from classical mechanics, fluid flow, heat and temperature to electricity.
