This course identifies the need for effective and proactive maintenance functions such that the electrical equipment is monitored and repaired before failure thus enhancing plant life. The participants are also exposed to management tools that can be used to identify the root cause of motor failures rather than addressing the symptoms and putting in place corrective maintenance functions to eliminate such faults.
People credited with competencies covered in this module are able to plan and prepare for maintenance of electrical equipment, maintain electrical equipment and associated circuits, and notify completion and document results of maintenance of electrical equipment.The competencies standards covered encompassed in this module is equivalent to Level 5 of the National Qualifications for Electrical Fitter Mechanic.
