1.1 Course Description
This course aims to introduce to the students the current environmental issues of the world. The unit will
enable them to critically evaluate and find possible solutions to these environmental challenges. Scientific
background will be provided to analyze specific environmental issues so that they will be able to
scientifically understand each issue. The course will also help the students to realize the impact which
local and global environmental challenges will have on the life in Fiji.
