The discipline of psychology is diverse and includes myriad approaches to studying the human mind and behavior. Social Psychology is a branch of this discipline which specifically explores the influence of contextual or environmental factors on our thoughts and behavior. This course has been designed to teach students to apply principles of theoretical social psychology to real-life issues and challenges. A wide range of topics will be covered, including, health, sports, workplace, criminal behavior, environment, politics and media. Students will also be expected to reflect and present solutions for social problems relevant to Pacific communities.
