This course offers students an understanding of Linux administration, including installation, software, software updates, installation of web server technology, setting up networks and become an expert in shell scripting. System administration is management and configuration of one or more computers with:
• Multiple operating systems
• Multiple hardware architecture
• Multiple software suites
Together with the shared resources necessary, such as networks, to make them work together
The aim of this course is to give the students an overview of operating system and how OS works with other hardware in a computer system. The lab will cover the tasks involved in installing, configuring and maintaining different types of operating systems.
