Engineering technologists are expected to distinguish a broad spectrum of manufacturing techniques available in the manufacturing industry. In this course you will understand the working principles of the machinery and processes as used in manufacturing metal and plastic products and examine the different joining process methods. You will also learn and practice the techniques and application of work measurement, calculating for optimal tool life, job costing, broaching processes and analytical approach used in forming and cutting processes.
