Food and nutrition security exists when all people at all times have physical, social and economic access to food which is consumed in sufficient quantity and quality to meet their dietary needs and food preferences. This course will enlighten you to the neccessary knowledge and skills to briefly assess the food and nutrition situation of a community or a household thus providing immediate baseline intervention to reduce food and nutrition insecurity. Intervention such as home food gardening and food preservation methods will be taught in this course.
