1.1 Course Description
This course will equip the students with an understanding of the impact of cyber crimes on national , societal and personal security. Aspects of critical infrastructure and emerging governance rules will be explored. Students address the challenges to cyber-security and examine the nature, prevalence, scope and the means by which criminals perform these crimes.The course explores the role and networks of offenders as well as the means to investigate and prevent cybercrime. International efforts to counter cyber-security threats by state and non-state actors are assessed. The course provides opportunities to students to do critical assessments of the threats to liberty posed by the emergent new digital age of surveillance.
