The nuclear arms race is simply the competition between the united states and the soviet union for nuclear weapons superiority lasting through out cold war.It was commonly held that the arms race come to an end in conjunctions with the fall of communism in 1991. During this period of time united states and the soviet union was the only two countries that is possessing nuclear weapons all over the world. This proces brought about tensions, fear and conflict between the two superpowers. The era of nuclear weapons invasion between the two superpowers have significant consiquenses for states, security, but agreement stops there. However, the debate over the consequences, one side holds that arms races increase the probability of war by undermining military stability and straning political relations.The superpowers scrambled to build more weapons than the other.The tensions grew more and more when the two countries have different ideologies. Conflicts began and eventualy arms race heated up.
