Not long after world two ended in 1945, cinflicts emerged between the United States and the USSR. The conflict was renowned as the nuclear arms race. The nuclear arms race is a competition between the united states and the soviet union for nuclear weapons superiority lasting through out the cold war. These begins when the united states successfully explode an atomic bombs on Japan in 1945. It is commonly held that the nuclear arms race come to an end with the conjunctions of the fall of communism in 1991. Between the 1950s and 1960s era, it was particularly known to be intense and many ways best charachterized the dynamics of nuclear arms race. During world war two, the united states set out secret government in the top secret task of developing the worlds first atomic bomb. The atomic bomb code manhttan project, it culminated in the successfull explosion of the two atom bombs over the Japanise cities hiroshima and Nagasaki in August 1945. The dropping of this two bombs nickedname the fat man and the little boy convinced Japan to surrender and to which it brings about the end of world war two, additionally it was a major achievement for the united states monopoly of worls deadly weapon. Pratically, the weasrten european allies was trying to prevent the soviet union from gainig its atomic technology. In 1946 united states proposed the Baruch plan in which they called a formation of an international organisation to monitor and regulate atomic weapons development. The soviets realised that this plan was made to stop them from gaining the bomb and they rejected the plan. The soviet union develop their own atomic bomb in the following year of world war two. In August 1949, the soviet union successfully conducted their first atomic weapons test, code name  "first lightinig".At this point of history US and ta USSR are thhe two countries to possessed nuclear weapons. Both countries scrammbled to build more weapons then the other. This conflicts futher heated up in 1950s. On the other hand, the united states futher develop a nuclear weapon known as the "hydrogen bomb" and they were the first on earth to install a hydrogen bomb. Thus, it can be said that the causes of nuclear arms race is the explosion of the first atomic bomb over Japan cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.The rejection of the Baruch plan can also be interpreted to be a major cause of nuclear arms race between united states and the soviet union.
