This course builds upon and extends the student’s knowledge and skills in carrying out mental health assessments and planning of nursing mangement for the different mental health needs of the client. Therapeutic approaches in mental health care will be explored and students will be introduced to basic counselling skills and the use of motivational interview for clients suffering from mental health problems/disorders.
