It provides an overview of the functions and supervisory aspects of the housekeeping and accommodation department. The key issues included in this unit are the different types of accommodation available, operational planning and procedures, furniture and fixtures, housekeeping equipment, linen and laundry, maintenance, leisure facilities, security aspects and energy and environmental management. Thus, the aim of the unit is to comprehend via analysis and evaluation the operational and managerial requirements of managing commercial hotel accommodation.
