This course introduces students to the concept of value adding supply chain and to become familiar with current value
adding supply chain management trends. The course covers various areas in value adding supply chain management,
such as the important role of value adding supply chain in today’s business environment, current value adding supply
chain theories, practices and concepts utilizing case problems and problem-based learning situations. Students will also
learn how to plan and manage procurements, as well as develop and manage relationships through pre, post and during
negotiation process, to finalize and manage contracts and projects. The course also covers ethical reflections in value
adding supply chain and procurement process, and principles and practices of risk management, interpersonal and
communication skills throughout the negotiation process whilst managing value adding supply chain, procurement,
contracts and projects.
