Students are expected to develop the knowledge and understanding of the performance of various types of power plant for the generation of electric power and the principles of operations involved. This course also include fuel preparation and handling, boiler types and the fundamentals of steam generation, water systems (condensate-feedwater, makeup, cooling, and waste), and considering the environmental aspects of steam and power generation. You will be well equipped with the responsibilities as plant operators and the skills required for the installation, running and maintenance of these plants.
