This course encourages the student to develop knowledge of the interrrelationship between the various organ systems and and the effects on them of disease. The development of disease is an intricate and involved relationship between normal physiology and altered functioning. Concepts from microbiology, physiology, and pharmacology are explored to enable the student to understand pathophysiological processes.
