The Introduction to Oral Biology and Oral Diseases course runs for one semester and covers the basic anatomy of the head and neck, oral cavity and the human dentition. This course also covers basic concepts of microbiology and a basic understanding of the common oral diseases and systemic conditions relevant to the practice of dentistry.
