Equity Equitable Health Practice andis a course that refers to the study of differences in the health care across the different populations. This course introduces and discusses the important areas that are encountered by the decision makers in the field of health care organization in relation to ethics.Students are highlighted on decision taken by managers and leaders on the overlaps between equity and equality and trade-offs between equity and efficiency. Understanding of the frameworks on accessing healthcare services and utilization of services will be also emphasized for the students to know and be able to appreciate the decision making process accordingly.
A good decision is reflected on the quality of services provided to the key customers and patients at various levels in the health settings. In sustaining quality, students will be taught on the quality tools that can be used by health professionals to measure the quality of health services and also for evidence-based informed decision in the future of the health setting.
