This course is designed to provide advanced level knowledge in aspects of agricultural extension. This course will provide the learner with in-depth knowledge of concepts communication focusing on the importance of ensuring clarity and credibility in communication and how this affects the effectiveness of communication. In addition, technical information for agriculture innovation and the use of ICT is also covered. The course also provides knowledge of agricultural journalism with practical exercises designed to provide students with the ability to practise synthesis of articles that would be beneficial in real world scenarios. Detailed knowledge of extension practices in the south pacific along with constraints in adoption of extension techniques will also be provided.
