Functions and recommended intake of macro and micronutrients. Metabolic consequences of nutrient deficiencies or excesses. It also deals with methods of estimation of different nutrients like proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals in foods; principles & techniques. Nutrients in foods, digestion, absorption, bioavailability and metabolism of nutrients.
